Mission Trip to Puerto Rico News

We are definitely planning a short term mission to hurricane ravaged Puerto Rico this spring, much the same as we did in New Orleans. The trip is likely to take place around the last week of May. The American Baptist Churches has a strong presence in Puerto Rico, so we would be working side by side with fellow American Baptists. The cost is very reasonable. If you are interested, there are information and registration packets on the back table.

Easter Breakfast

If you would like to help prepare breakfast on Waster Sunday morning, please speak to Roberta Carmichael.

Adult Sunday School Class

Here’s a special invitation to all adults to attend Jeff Morse’s adult Sunday School class. Jeff has a very insightful understanding of the Scriptures that is helpful to all who must navigate their way through this difficult world. The class is lively, has a discussion format, and as an added bonus, the Scriptures discussed on a given morning are the same ones used in the morning worship service. This is a wonderful way to prepare oneself for worship!

After the Service
We invite anyone with a burden or just needing prayer to come to the front of the church to pray. A brother or sister in Christ will meet with you there to uplift you. Anyone who is seeking, but has not yet found Christ is welcome to come for encouragement and prayer. The Bible says, “Today is the day of salvation.” There is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents!

Box tops for Education
One of our Sunday School teachers would like for us to collect “Box tops for Education” These can be found on selected cereal boxes and other products. Please place them in the marked box at the back of the sanctuary.

  1. There seems to be some confusion as to your mailing/delivery address. I’ve got FedEX,UPS, and USPS mail over the past few years that was directed to 112 Main. So it’s 212 Main St.? I’ve called the USPS to tell them and even called one of your suppliers to tell them they had a package delivered here incorrectly. They researched and called me back telling me to keep or discard the item and they would send to your correct address. Just thought you should know. 😉
